    Hello,
    I want to remove the panel circled in yellow. I understand I need to remove both screws but then can I just pull the panel off and then disconnect the light triggers or do I have to remove them first somehow?

    I believe the triggers are just bolted to the panel.

    On a gt4 there is also a wiring loom that feeds though from the inner wheel arch to the door panel which might have to be disconnected somewhere.

    Disconnect battery first then;

    Simply remove the two screws and slowly bring the panel back enough to disconnect the terminals to free the assembly for removal.

    I use low tack masking tape to avoid scratching surrounding paintwork (panel has sharp edges) and needle nose pliers on terminals.

    There's never anything wrong with starting with all electrical cold and off, but if the wires behind this panel connected to those switches happen to short to something or touch some part of the car then......the interior lights will come on.
