I have been frustrated for some time now with my floor mats moving about when I drive the car. Decided to take some action.

Never mind the Ferrari floor mat anchors ... after some searching I found these bad boys which were originally for the 2002 - 2007 Subaru WRX.

    I found mine on eBay.

They have a slight bit of offset which is handy when one installs them in your car.

These brackets are aluminum and they have a post with a rubber O-ring to retain a plate washer that you place on top of the floor mat.

I had a couple of plate washers that I drilled out to 3/8" which is only slightly larger than the post on the bracket and once the rubber O-ring is installed, will retain the plate washer in place.

You will need to use a small hammer and vice to gently change the angle of the bend on the bracket. I also used an adjustable wrench to give the bracket a slight twist so that once you install the bracket under the front seat rail mounts, the end of the bracket with the post will lay flat on the floor and the post will be at 90 degrees.

You will need an 8mm hex key wrench to remove the seat rail mounting bolt. Mount the floor mat bracket under the seat rail and tighten the bolt to secure everything in place.

Check the fit of your floor mat. If the grommet hole does not line up with the new bracket posts, you may need to make new holes in your floor mat. Get a grommet tool to install new grommets.

Now all you need to do is to place the plate washer over the posts, slip on an O-ring to retain the plate washer and these floor mats are not going anywhere.

    All the best ...

That looks nice. I used Eagle Claws that worked well but your solution looks better.

I looked at eagle claws. They seem like good solution. Am thinking that if the floor mat holes were not well aligned with these Subaru mounting brackets that would be good solution to avoid making new holes in floor mat.
