That's cool man!! My aircraft obsessed daughter wants an RC plane of some sort. :D

Wants to fly them now before she becomes a pilot she reckons.

Starting to look at some options now, not too sure I want to spend the big bucks because she will just crash it anyway lol

But I don't want to go to cheap either as they look like crap and probably are.

    Your daughter sounds very smart.

Most important thing is to get a basic trainer with smart safe tech. Don’t over spend. It WILL crash.

That means when it all goes wrong - which it will - the aircraft will go in to safe mode and level out and hopefully not crash.
    But it will anyway.

The first rule of RC aircraft is that it is not possible to learn without crashing.

In that sense it’s a lot like life.

She's a weapon man! I must have dropped her on her head as a baby, because she becomes obsessed with something and goes hell for leather to learn EVERYTHING about it as quickly as possible.

A few years ago it was anything to do with Egypt and Tutankhamun, then she moved onto the Periodic table and all the chemical elements that make it up etc.

She's watched countless hours of footage on Youtube, pretty confident she can fly a plane if you put her behind the controls. She knows all the systems, all the terminology and she just finished educating me on the MCAS system last night.

She looks on Ebay and she keeps adding aircraft parts in my watch list lol

She wants this crap for Xmas btw if good ol Uncle Steve wants to buy it for her.

United Airlines B737 Aircraft Reference Guides- Maintenance Operations - 1992-96 | eBay

She's a lunatic, her twin sister is more interested in doing her hair and watching stupid dance videos on Youtube.

Thanks for the info in regards to these RC planes. Never heard of smart safe tech, but it definitely sounds good to me as she will definitely crash what I get her lol

If there is anything you recommend, please post up a link thanks mate. Worst case I just get her some cheap **** and we will see what happens.

    That makes me cry.

Why didn't Rob or Simon buy one of these instead of silly cars when they were around at this price?

4m Sterling now. And I could fly it for them.

After three scotches, and despite it being rather windy, I decided it would be a good idea to take the RC jet for a spin this evening.

May have to sack the camera person, but anyway… :)
