Vasseur just saying at the French TV that Sainz had more pace in hand if needed for the last laps.
I do hope he meant Carlos and Lando using their DRS and didn't mean their actual tyre strategy because that's an insult and a half.

Well it must be snowing in hell today! Kudos to Sainz for doing what he needed to do. Lol, Russel chokes and gives Lulu a podium I do find it funny to hear all the comments about Red Bull cheating yet they never suggested that during Mercedes dominance.
Even if he didn't, both Lando and Sainz just confirmed again that they were working together Both driving smart and strategic.
AWESOME!!! How refreshing to see something other than a RB on the top step, especially a Ferrari. So Charles currently makes twice the salary of Carlos - which has to be in serious question now, and even more so when contract negotiations happen what early next year if the Carlos>Charles trend continues. When was the last time a top team's #2 driver consitently outperformed their #1 driver? This reminds me of the huge advantege of having position in poker. Get to see what your opponent does before comitting to your own strategy. Even though Charles didn't seem to slow the Mercs down much even the couple corners Russel spent in his wake may have made just enough difference in failing to overtake Norris and pressure Carlos at the end.
Smart driving from Carlos today. Not a wrong move and his pace was perfect. Ferrari strategy on the knives edge at the end. Too bad for Charles but he was never really in it this weekend. Podium for Max if there were 5 more laps.
Spanish guy interviewed by Ted: Carlos is faster than Charles. Ehhh, that's a fact. The numbers are there.
Excellent performance by Carlos and Ferrari! He keeps getting better! LOL at George Russell. Charles had some bad luck with that pit stop. I'm not sure what else Ferrari could have done. That said, if he outqualified Carlos on Saturday, he wouldn't have been in that position. He needs to assert himself with some comeback drives. It seems like next season will either make or break his career. I'm not giving up on him though.
Nail biting finish but well done to the team and Sainz, a clinically perfect drive but can we have a bit more of a margin Mr V next time. Good to see the race strategy was much better now that mekkies has gone.
Ferrari! Isn't this wonderful! A crisp, strategic, intelligent drive, with no major mess ups from the pit wall! Hallelujah!!!! Congratulations to all in Red, Rosso Corsa victorious!!!!!!!
Feeling very calm (now) and satisfied. It’s been too long. Well done every body, ring that church bell ! Forza
I feel like some credit needs to be given to Vasseur. I’m not saying it’s a complete turnaround, but these things take time and Ferrari might still finish in second place.
I was so damn sure this race was thrown away and that those pesky Merc's would win it. Sainz crossing the line in first I cheered so f'in loud! The final laps where really nailbiting. I hope they party like it's no tomorrow tonight. Thoroughly well deserved victory for Ferrari and Sainz.

During the 1st pit stop CL was held up because the Mercs double stacked and F had to wait for LH to get out of the way. If GR's pit stop was slower LH would have blocked CL for even longer. This should be impeding, somehow.
