Most probably, the arrival of the 296 VS will grow the offer for used 296. Even before that, the increased number of delivered cars may put some pressure on the market (in this respect, the later introduced GTS will resist for a longer time).

The Purosangue is assembled on the 2nd floor ("V12 Floor') while 296, Roma and Portofino M are made on first floor assembly line.

When the 458 came out, it made the F430 seem more like a sports car and the 458 seemed like a supercar. (All the terms are a bit flexible)…. The 488->F8 took the almost super car formula as far as it could go. The 296 they are giving you near hypercar. In a car thats far more accessible.

Hard to say on values but it seems total production numbers are going up, but there are more models being sold. My guess is Ferrari knows they shouldn’t have models suffer tremendous depreciation and likely the values will be pretty good. Thats about as technical as I think you can say with certainty. Buy it because you really enjoy it, otherwise do something else you enjoy.

Instead of trying to play Nostradamus with 296 future values, I would be more concerned with when and if Ferrari is ever going to figure out electrical gremlins in these cars.

Makes me almost want to back out of my order.

Situation is similar in France - at first glance, prices from Ferrari dealers seem higher than list, but given the prices of options they are probably very close.

Looks like F Tampa has a yellow 2022 gtb for sale at 459k with 500 miles pretty well loaded with options. Seems reasonable considering the high MSRP.

So what do you think, how much is it above MSRP ? About 50K ? (In which case it would be a very minimal profit for the owner, given the dealer markup)

Not sure but reading the description it seems like a high MSRP. Also looks like it has the AF package too by the paint job. It seemed a reasonable ask for sure. Image Unavailable, Please Login

the thing is 'hypercar' is always relative to the time and despite the 296 being quick, it's actually slow compared to the hypercars of it's time (rimac etc)

Did they make you sign an exclusive/first refusal contract?

I dont think this is the appropriate comparison. The fact that you would even put the two together goes along with my point though. The 296 is really very close to Bugatti levels of performance.

If you dont want to listen to me, then listen to this chap, skip ahead to ~0:50

Yea I mean super/hyper car "performance numbers" are forever broken by things like the Tesla Model S Plaid..... This isn't the 90's anymore when only the things that look like race cars go fast.... when you have a regular looking family sedan blowing the doors off most anything on the road then you just have to measure by different things.

What are the contract terms that dealers are pushing for right-of-first-refusal period, if any?

I know it's extremely fast, I'm just saying that if you compare current performance to old hypercars then you can create value for money in many relatively inexpensive cars - although not much can touch (if anything) can touch the bugatti's for top speed!

it's completely insane but the bar for a hypercar in 2023 is absolutely extreme imo

Yes it is, and now the baby mid engine Ferrari is nipping at their heals. Dearly priced as it is, the 296 is a far less expensive proposition than a Bugatti, or any other non pure EV hypercar. If you want to go 0-X really fast, as your sole goal, then you really can't beat an EV. But when other factors are at play, you need to have some kind of combustion. I think they did a really amazing job with the 296.

    One-year ROFR. I signed one for my F8, 296 and SF90.

Mine basically says the have ROFR for one year after delivery date. The term "ROFR" is misleading because the dealer has the right to buy the car at the LESSER of MSRP or the value determined by the DEALER'S appraiser. So basically if you sell it within one year, count yourself lucky if you sell it for MSRP.
