Probably not the most controversial take, I know. Ended up cruising with one unexpectedly for a few miles today. Hadn't seen one in motion in a some time and was struck (again) by how good looking it is. And how gracefully it's aging. Anyway, that's it. Just felt compelled to compliment all you 599 owners out there. Oh yeah, please feel free to use this as an excuse to post pictures of yours.

@NGooding I agree with what you wrote. The design is so sophisticated and subtle, like a tux. Edgy goes out of fashion but elegant endures over the decades. I also love the duality of it, drive easy and it is the comfy luxury ride, put the hammer down and it is a fire breathing beast. @Condor Man Correct about seeing them in the wild. I live in Silicon Valley and I have only seen one 2 times in 10 years. I mean other than my car; I use my car as a DD because I am a bit crazy.

Photos never do the 599 justice to me. I wonder if that might be why they’re undervalued for what they are. If you get a good angle from the front then it looks good but, nothing like seeing it in person. In person 599’s are absolutely stunning.
My first post, and completely agree with Nate. I went back and forth between the 599 and the F12. My personal taste, I liked the F12 tech, but was more fond of the 599 lines and curves. Ended up two months ago with a very low miles, Ferrari maintained, ultra clean 599. Just put new F12 wheels on it, along with PPF, window tint, a Forza exhaust valve controller, and Capristo secondary cat removal pipes. Night and day sound difference with just those minor changes. Probably the only “bad” experience is that you can’t go anywhere and park without a crowd gathering and taking pictures. The folks on this forum have been an excellent source for information. Yesterday while driving my 599HGTE up Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood, I got a huge thumbs up from a gentleman riding solo in a new Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible. The guy's got great taste!
What color is your 599? I will look out for it as I live in Beverly Hills and drive through there a lot.
My 2011 599HGTE wears the usual Rosso Corsa paint with beige leather / black alcantara / CF interior. I've lived 50 miles north in beautiful Camarillo with its mild Mediterranean-like climate for 43+ years but every so often, I drive through the Beverly Hills / West Hollywood areas for business and/or errands.
It's tough to convey the proportions of the 599 through photos. In person it's much more eye catching.

I didn't say they don't look great in photos. It's the proportions and size of the 599 that don't translate well...in person they have far more road presence. They are much larger that they look in pictures. Reminds me of my old SLR McLaren.
The sound of my silver bullet was "naturally born" by frequent traveling with high revs on the german "Autobahn" coming from speed restricted Switzerland. Compared to my before 575 FHP (2205) my 599 was much more rolling at serious corner speeds, which was then cured by the HGTE package.
Speaking of which..... I took my 575 in Manual for a fast drive around Mulholland Drive the other night and I couldn't help think that I wished the 599 was the same size as the 575... Then it would be literally perfect!
