I have been using Castrol Edge Supercar 10W-60 with Tutela FVI additive for my 599. I can no longer find the Castrol in the US. Does anyone know if Liqui Moly Synthoil Race Tech GT1 or Motul 8100X power 10W-30 would be suitable? If so, which one is better for this particular engine?

I have heard that it is good to have reasonably high zinc level in the oil for this engine.

Thanks Terry and Dominic! Those look like the top picks among oil available in the US.
The Ferrari dealer in Naples uses Pakelo. The parts man said that Motul would be good for a 599.
I see that the Liqui Moly Zinc content is as high as any for catalyst cars at about 1000 ppm (good). It is rated ACEA A3/B4.
I was not able to relate the Raveol specs but the idea of Molybdenum metal conditioning/coating sounds good.

I do not mean to start an oil tech thread because I really don't know about oil ratings and properties nor the Ferrari 599 engine oil engineering requirements. I am probably over thinking all of this, but do not want mechanical or oil seal troubles. I want something that has lasting viscosity, low foaming and good lubrication for the valve train. It looks like both of your recommendations are great. I suspect that for the 1000 or so non-track miles I put on this car going to lunch and cars and coffee with my buddies every year, there will not be any problem.

I can get the Liqui Moly on Amazon for a reasonable price. That is probably what I will use.

Please do not hesitate to offer additional thoughts or experiences.

O'Reilly claims to have the Castrol 10W-60 for $13.99/liter if you do not want to change.
