236k? wow. 997rs so similar to regular gt3 that can be had for under 100k that this makes no sense unless just to collect dust in garage for 30 years.
I don't think you can get a 997 GT3 under $100K. Hell I don't think you can even get a 996 GT3 under $100K anymore either.
I've got an '07 GT3 RS and my wife has an '04 GT3 that we track extensively. I always say that if I wad this one up I want to replace it with another one exactly like it. It's the perfect trackday car, if you ask me. @95spiderman is totally correct, though. The differences between the RS and non-RS in the 997 generation are extremely small. No sunroof, better downforce, and the lightweight flywheel. Wide body makes next to no difference to handling, but the flywheel is a big deal. Nothing you couldn't bolt on to a base 997 GT3 for a lot less money, for sure. Paid just north of $100K for the 996 earlier this year. These cars aren't cheap any more.
Now MacNugget, you shouldn't tell these nice people untruths. We all know the 996/997 generation GT3s are horrible to drive and will give you a very nasty rash if you sit in them for too long. Clearly that car - and that lovely grey / red 997.2 GT3RS I saw the other day -- should be worth very little, and disposed of by fundamentally irresponsible adults like myself.
