Trouble uploading video due to size. Here is the central muffler in my 2003. It sounds better with the deletes. Fabio’s H sounded much more like a loud helicopter in conjunction with the deletes. To me. I have a high tolerance for loud too. the fabio pipe at the bottom is beautiful though ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What is the crankshaft in the picture? It looks like it has a bunch of tungsten slugs in the front counterweight.
It was a gift to me from Matt Hagan (Mopar) and his crew after he won an NHRA race in New Hampshire. Signed with speed record too. Good Eye. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for your prompt answer! Yes I guess that you would need to put the video on an external platform like Youtube, only that would work. I'll try to find sound clips online as well, although there isn't so much content online. High flow cats may be a good option as well, and I guess for the centrer muffler straight pipes without the balancing may sound better. I don't know about my loud tolerance: my daily is a QP Sport GT S and the sound in "sport mode" is perfect. All my other cars, I chopped off something (most often the central muffler or the secondary cats or both but usually I keep the stock mufflers - the CLS63 was sounding mean without the central muffle, the CL63 more civilized somehow although it was the exact same engine spec than the CLS). But I suspect that a car without mufflers won't pass MOT here. The advantage of removing the central muffler or secondary cats when present is that the car will still look stock and pass emissions.
Regarding ECU the only two I know are: UK: https://www.dmsautomotive.com/performance-upgrade/ US: https://www.eurocharged.com/product/ferrari-456-ecu-tune/ No affiliation/first hand knowledge though.
DMS have a good reputation for turbo cars. There is some scepticism on other forums about their success with NA cars.
Not sure which thread to put this on, but have you seen the Marconi Museum gathering on June 1st being advertised…. Image Unavailable, Please Login
