Their big aero update was a failure ( more peaky and unstable downforce compared with the initial concept) Strong reminder of SF75 aero updates in France 2022..
Regarding the points they would certainly be better off - but they'd still be on a downward trend. For Ferrari, the championship situation may be interesting - Red Bull has been out of reach for a while, but now Mercedes is in sight and McLaren is far behind, so that their new form is not a real threat so far.
VER back to domination: +0.581s to P2, and +0.773s to PER. 3 purple sectors in his 1st attempt and 3 purples again in his 2nd! His 29th pole brings him on par with Fangio. . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oscar has out qualified Norris again All this BS of RB courting Norris, they should have been saving their pennies for Oscar Princess beaten by the "goat" And Yuki finally beat his team mate but isn't Lawson a great little driver ? My prediction for the race is the Ferraris to pass Norris, wheel bang Oscar ...... Max, Oscar and Chuck at the end of lap one but after than you can throw the dice
I would slso pic Oscar before Lando, and i like Lando, but i believe Oscar will be super good. I hope he find his way to Ferrari one day.
So in your estimation 0-3 wins a season for five years in a row was doing “Pretty well”, and miraculously with RB16B they improved to 10-15 wins a year and you wanna pretend it isn’t the car? “Senna-esque” my ass.
Red Bull, 2nd in 2016, then 3rd in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2nd again in 2020. Bad cars ? I don't think so, just not as fast as the Mercs.
The cars Max had at the time had a similar to larger gap the current and last years' Mercedes had to the Ferrari's and Red Bulls. How many races did they win? 1. How many races did others win with such a gap? Ferrari only won races against Merc occasionally when their car was much closer to Mercedes. So yes, Max winning races in those years was indicative of his capabilities. He had the fastest car for half the season last year and broke the outright win record by some margin. He's set on beating his own record this year, again. Of course the car matters. That's not news. Never has been.
But the RB wasn't bad cars, thats what William is saying. Past champions have won without the best car. Max isn't doing nothing new. You see he couldn't win in Singapore when his car was not the best.
I failed to remember to record the show after the qualifying window. Thanks to the American, Q3 never made the recording. . . . . . ....good thing there were no big surprises... sjd
A team that finishes constantly 2nd or 3rd in the WCC do not have a bad car, or it would be lower in the ranking.
You can be 2nd or 3rd in the championship all day long but if the gap to get to 1st is pretty damn large that makes getting a victory pretty hard.
Some of the most bitter bickering my god. These guys don't even KNOW you guys exist, yet some of you have wasted 100s of hours arguing for/against them. Holy crap...
I think they're all damn good, a hair's width between them all BUT a light year between them and us weekend warriors, doesn't mean we can't argue the toss
Look at Perez vs Max's qualifying and race gaps over the years. Perez is certainly proving he doesn't have the best car......or does he? If the latter, then it certainly comes down to the driver no?
