Great render! Day355 DID say front would be more SF90 esque and as rendered reflects that while also paying homage to 365 Daytona
I agree, the sloped back glass causes a lot of reflection problems as well off the top of those longer dashboards. Makes it a long distance from driver to glass and then on to the front end. Feels like a fighter pilot about to take off on an aircraft carrier! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
It's a good render for a mid-engine car, or an electric one. But that cant be a front V12 car. Front is too low and too short.
Is this common what we all start doing renderings and projections? Is anything actually confirmed about an “812 replacement”? My dealer says nothing is confirmed…
It seems likely there will be a V12 replacement for the 812 series, so, that's confirmed, it will be front engine since only exclusive invite-only models feature a rear-mounted V12. Thus, a rendering showing a front-end that could not even house a V6 is contrary to a front engine placement for the 812 replacement. Of course a "dream rendering" of a rear-mounted V12 would be a delight, not a single prototype/test mule showing that arrangement...
Day also said. To be in the simplicity of Roma does not mean to be a Roma !!! And the rendering above is close to a Roma. of course we are closer to a Roma style language than 812, and as I said, it is the opposite of 812 Roma is style, 167 is concept. And although modern and simple at the same time, she does not forget the virility and the muscles. He also said Ferrari were doing something they hadn't done for a long time. I think that was in relation to the rear and think Fighter Plane
Looking forward to get this car, I have put pre-order for this car and looking forward to spec mine when time come.
I understand this thread is pretty long now but everything has been confirmed in it... Try just the last few pages, you will be enlightened.
I strongly believe at least one of the fighter plane references at the rear is going to be two ENORMOUS coffee can size outboard exhausts ( ala 812 Competizione except round instead of rectangular shaped outlets ) and to have ribbed canisters like a fighter jet exhaust has and like the new Reveulto exhaust has. My speculative wish is that the other fighter jet reference is a mini F40 vertical tail and integrated wing ( almost like a Porsche 959 has )
I love combustion engine more than anyone and I cringe at thought of true EV Ferrari. For Rolls Royce though … no biggie. NOT hearing the engine in a Rolls is actually one of their ideals
Ev for luxury makes huge sense after I bought and owned BMW i7 quite a while. No noise no vibration is a thing for big luxury. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think Fighter place will be down the center of the bonnet or sides of bonnet sorta like vents, fins etc. Those Exhausts would be nice
I disagree. The silence and smoothness of the Rolls has always had a lot to do with the construction and acoustics, aimed at the luxurious experience. But the handcrafted V12 was there. V12 engines designed for a luxurious experience, but also excellent for those who love engines and craftsmanship. IMO, with a battery, the RR loses part of its essence.
My bet is that this has everything to do with the roof. Perhaps the windshield and roof form a "glass dome", similar to fighter planes, ending at the B column.
Looks to me like the car in picture by Derek has some actual bodywork at the rear quarter exposed, looks very 296-ish, so… Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok now we are getting somewhere! I think rear quarter window going to be like tdf but overall this is one of the best renderings yet
Glass roofs are flooding the market. Everyone is doing them. This has gotta be done with some real style/Concept look and feel. Butterfly doors with the roof area of the door being glass is an option. sorta P5 Berlinetta Special Sadly as it’s a front Gran Tourer we won’t get anything conceptual like Ferrari 512S Berlinetta Speciale windshield/roof. The only other options is the rear windshield comes up in 2 segments on to the roof and each segment round off (half circles sorta) midway on the roof. sort like someone marked out on the mute
