    Hello Series1 (Mark)...

Can you provide the information on where, what, and who you purchased the rear subframe bushings from?
Part numbers would also be very helpful! This would benefit all us Khamsin owners!

Care to share since there are Bora owners as well ... and yes even some Lamborghinis use them for hanging the rear exhaust on an Espada!

They came from Pasquale Coppola in Italy. He advertises them on carandclassic but here is a link to his website.

    https://coppolaoldtimer.eu/

They are made to order so took about 4 weeks and were about £250 each.

Not dealt with him before but he’s a very good communicator and the parts look great. Hope that helps

Khamsin 341 sold Saturday at the Goodwood revival auction for GB£143750 (€167769, US$179973) a fair price for a money no object restoration that took several years and was completed just before KHAMSIN QUARANTA in 2012. Valuations are of course higher in The EU and UK than in the US.

It was the car of my publisher at the time and was not judged at K 40 to avoid a conflict of interest because he was co organizer with me. It had since been sold by him in a London auction. The interim owner hardly drove it in the meantime, what a shame. Hopefully the new caretaker will do so extensively, it really is a superb car.

Does anyone know if something is going on with Hein Brand? I put in an order for an exhaust and received an email requesting more details about the car, which I responded to, but now I haven't heard anything else despite several emails. I have called them a couple times but only get an answering machine but since i don’t speak German, not sure what the message is. It’s been about 3 weeks. Any insight would be appreciated.

Or, does anyone know of a good source for a new Khamsin exhaust system?

    Greg

Months ago Art H saw 2 Khamsins clearly just dragged out of long term inactivity on a truck on a highway in the northeastern US.

One of the two, a 5 speed, has now appeared at Gullwing Motorcars: AM120US1004.

    https://www.gullwingmotorcars.com/1975-maserati-khamsin-c-4929.htm

    More photos here:

Meanwhile the rusty AM120-US-1260 also white and 5 speed which I inspected there in September 2018 is now declared sold. It was a scary project because it literally sat for decades in a damp warehouse but it finally found a home, good!

Where do you "find" a new windshield for the one at Gullwing?

Campana and MIE have (had) windshields in stock. Probably still do, not exactly a part that flies off the shelf, considering they’re NOS.

the gaskets are available directly from Italy via the original supplier, i’ll have to dig up the their site. I just replaced the windshield and gaskets on #1226.

    Hi Marc
could it be that you meant 1104, as 1004 sits in Germany ?

    Regards, Roger

    Hi Roger,

No, no Fabio of the factory's archives confirmed it.

I had immediately noticed the fact that I already had a file on a gold car in Germany owned by the well known P family declared as 1004.

Maybe there is a double chassis number, it happened during the Orsi years but Citroen tidied up everything considerably ( including no more dodgy two level official and err unofficial accounting!) so I doubt it.

I wrote two days ago to KP in Germany to ask for clarification. Will post any updates here.

    Hello

I just found this advert for an australian car magazine depicting a Khamsin, or rather a number plate, I did not know of in ebay.
The magazine is the Australian Motor Manual issue october 1975.
The car tested was from a garage in Hawthorne, Melbourne, the registration "I DO 040" and it looks to me to be an early one without ventilation slats.

    Hello Roger,

Many thanks for that, despite scouring sales sites such as Ebay for years and buying countless period test drive articles including several from down under I had never seen that one.
I just read it on my phone, serious eye work lol and it was worth it, he is very positive about it.
Poignantly it was written at a time when The Trident's survival was at stake.

I have to check the Australian cars in my files to see if I can identify it.

They are shown in Marc's book as the ones on the left, pictures 1 and 4.
Also, where can I find a pair !
    Thanks,
    Neil

Right: attached are the two photos of the two mirrors Neil is referring to, can any one of the tech experts help him identify their brand, model and source them? Thanks in advance.
