Been a long road back to Ferrari since I moved back to the USA and sold my Speciale amongst others. Back to the brand with one of my dream cars: 04 Stradale Interestingly I was again drawn to a stripeless vehicle (as per my Speciale) as it allows me to change things up when I want to tinker with stripe changes. Few minor mods planned: Trev's Tune Spacers Headers Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whilst I was waiting for the major service to finish up I read your thread a couple times - love the Challenge Rims and love the car. Enjoy!
Great morning as always with @goodvibesbreakfastclub up at @newcombsranch with fantastic diversity as always! The Stradale was put through its paces and it certainly didn't disappoint. The steering is full of feel along with being weighted very nicely - it's not as light as modern Ferrari's and has so much feedback. The car feels like a go cart as It's extremely light on its feet. The Ceramics shared with Enzo are still adequate but you do have to step on them with far more pressure than any modern CCB's. Adds to the experience IMO. Feels like you're actually controlling the car. The Stradale Sounds fantastic but will be addressed (improved) with headers and an exhaust in the future. The car is a hooligan - it wants to be and needs to be at 3500rpm at all times. 3500 on the Fwy is 70mph and the car eggs you on. All the way to 8500 rpm. Ok so how's the F1 all these years later? The downshifts are fantastic and the upshifts are...not as fantastic but adequate. Working around the flaw adds to the experience and has you dialed in and concentrating whilst driving. It has no automatic mode and it's so responsive and agile you always need to be focused - it's not a relaxing drive. Which i love! Theres some amazing software available which I'll be upgrading to which improves the shifting along with the powerband of the engine amongst other improvements which will make the car even more responsive. Cant wait to see how that goes. Would I manual swap it? Sure...if I didn't have a gated manual. Fortunately I do and can get my manual kicks from those cars. I think the transmission adds to the Stradale experience and you enjoy it for what it was and what it is. This Stradale is FUN. It's more than fast enough and the visceral feel the car has just shines over anything modern these days. Sometimes it's worth meeting your hero's! What a car!
