Ya, of all the opinions I've heard on here, this is definitely the first time I've heard anyone say 296 over F8.... I'm sure he says 348 over Pista also.
The question I really wanted answered was , Was the F8 really ever penned in to be made ? 488 GTB and then the Pista. Was the F8 made because of the issues with Covid and the roll out of the NEW Hybid 296 GTB ? Well certainly Ferrari did seize the opportunity and introduce the F8 to fit in between. Well the engine already existed and so did the body with little modification. Certainly, a great introduction to allow people to get the final V8 rendition that were deigned a Pista. Ferrari could have just kept making Pista's and certainly would have had the customers. But in their wisdom lets change a few things here and there and lets call it the final V8. Great marketing , great execution. So yes I guess the differences are not that big however each to their own. If only I could spec my own new Pista today I would NOT need to be asked twice. The F8 is certainly faster than the 488 GTB , Better looking ? However the F8 will go down the same fate, its not special. THE PISTA IS.
They always intended to make a final V8 non hybrid Tribute car- it wasn't an accidental afterthought due to Covid-- it was in the works LONG before COVID was even heard of....hell, there were actual finished cars before COVID showed up in Feb-March 2020. I also don't agree with the F8 going down in fate or whatever you meant.... ALL of the non hybrids are going to be epic and highly sought after in a few years. You'll see.... not just the F8 but the Pista, the 488's the 458's, Speciales, F430's, Scuds... ALL of them will be the most sought after Ferraris-- 2-3 years from now and it will only increase thereafter.
Sorry I dont agree with regards to the timed events. 488 GTB > F8 > PISTA makes sense. BTW the Pista and Speciale will always be in a league of their own. I will agree the hybrids will turn into crap. Gotta be nuts to buy an electric Ferrari.
I actually agree with that order also— but it didn’t happen that way. No biggie. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Wait until the battery fails / stranded or on fire and then see if he still has the same attitude. A hybrid car from DAY 1 the battery starts to lose its capacity. It will fail. Add Ferrari electrics and it will fail sooner !
Hey, so what about those 'Dad tones' the moderator used when speaking to us in that other thread? What the hell is wrong with people these days? They seriously get that upset over some silly BS we type on the internet? Yikes, comment taken- fine- but lose the tough guy tone please. now, back to our regularly scheduled cyber conversations.
Because it’s a clown shoe that’s way faster, handles way wetter, has way better brakes, and sounds way better. But you don’t have to agree with me. I still love the F8, though. The 296 is just on another level.
I won’t care. That’s what warranties are for, and I have no intention of keeping a Ferrari past its warranty.
anyone who says there rich and calls poor people losers in my book is a toad He heckles Ferrari cars for attention The guy is an Ass bandit, i have an F 8 and i love it I have a taylor made 296 getting built I love the 488 as well great car the biggest problem with Ferrari is that there cars are all great and overpriced Bad for the pocket book good for the soul its a privilege to own a Ferrari I used to be a peasant so i know
Nothing wrong here from the mods. When your posts get reported by other members for being out of whack, then the mods get a ping to look into the posts. The mods aren’t searching you out. We def have better things to do. We are taking care of the forum rules so that members can enjoy discussion in the model forums without wading thru offensive material. If you enjoy that in your discussions without escalating bans - great. You can take it to pm’s, try it out in the p&r section or go to another site or out for a beer. Lot of options there.
Granted if you sell the Ferrari when the warrantee is done it won't be an issue for you. However, there are many that will retain their car after the warrantee expires. I highly doubt that the LaFerrari owners will do what you will do ? Don't know whether its applicable in your neck of the woods, but I would check to see that your house insurance will cover any EV thermal runaways. They are being banned from high rise buildings.
ya, I think the new policy should be, "If anyone reports someone's post to the mods, then you are immediately banned" signed; The mods.
