I would consider painted stripe top of steering wheel to match your exterior color. Tricolor flag embroidery on each headrest would look sharp too. But in the end all that matters is what you want.

I have carbon steering wheel with led, is it possible to do painted stripe with that option?

I have the horse on the headrest in red stitching, tricolor stitch might feel out of place. I will check out the rendering.

Yes on the steering wheel stripe, it’s on mine (car in production). Understand on the headrest, I didn’t do it because of interior color(beige Lucania). A friend spec’d it on his black interior with horse and it looks good. Will dig around for his rendering.

What you should know is that if you take the 360 degree camera you will get an ugly notch underneath the side mirrors.... Same with the front camera, I think it "ruins" the frontal appearance. (not the best fotos, but you should get an idea)

Stripe on the stearing CF stearin wheel is possible, I have ordered that, it is 1400€ in Germany (my color silver, price could depend on the color).

I agree with the previous post - I do not see the need for the Surround view and even the front camera given the ugly pimples on the wing mirrors for the surround view and in the case of the front camera the risk of damage. Would rather spend the money on exterior carbon but that’s just me. The Ferrari black plastic just looks a bit cheap.

You have a very similar build to ours but we kept it Cuoio leather instead of the red and the silver wheels...as others posted no surround camera.

I agree, especially against Rosso Corsa. The side sill covers are very large on the 296 and don't look good in the standard plastic finish on a car of this type/price. The front spoliers and exterior sill covers in carbon transform the look of the car. You don't need the rear diffuser in carbon as the way it curves under the rear of the car tends to hide the fact it is plastic quite effectively. The front side spoliers and side sill covers are on prominent show on the car. Here is a Rosso Corsa car with the standard black plastic lower body sections.

This was my car in Rosso Corsa with the front spoilers and side sill covers in carbon and the standard rear diffuser for comparison.

And this is a Grigio Scuro example that my dealer swapped out the standard plastic parts for carbon fibre.

I was very negative to the surround view and camera and I consider myself as very good driver. But trust me the surround view camera have helped me a lot of times. In traffic when changing lanes, in tight parking house. The car is so easy to live with. Also in real life the camera on mirrors dont look that bad.

I did not spec my 296 as it was pre spec when I bought it and from before I would not have gone for this option, but now after living with it and driven the car over 4000KM I love it.

When come to carbon yeah the black plastic look very bad, my car had front + side in carbon but not the diffuser. So I bought diffuser from dealer in carbon + engine room.

Engine room for non Assetto Fiorano is waste of cash, as the window for engine is tinted for non AF cars and AF cars have lexan window for engine room so the engine room possible to see.

Can always add the lower exterior carbon pieces aftermarket, they will be available for sure and at a much more reasonable price. Those aren't difficult pieces to swap out as mentioned.

Also consider forged wheels + titanium bolts as they weigh less

FWIW, my feedback is you've done a very sporty spec but without the AF pack. I strongly recommend the AF pack if you want to drive the car in a sporty manner. I would keep this spec but add AF or go with a different interior theme. Ferrari has so many nice leather colors, why do black? It's clean, but it's also a dark interior. Also black interiors on open cars look a bit dull to my eyes. I would suggest either a tan/ cuoio (natural) or Sabbia (sand). Crema would work also but has a bit more yellow. Black wheels with yellow calipers creates a lot of contrast but is this where you want to draw attention? The 296 is a pretty car- black wheels seems a bit out of touch with the classy styling of the 296. With your spec I would recommend grey or silver wheels with black calipers.

These are just suggestions, as you asked for them.

I would stay away from AF, as you will lose the lift and you will get carbon door panels inside. If you plan to track the car more then 60% of the time then AF would be the way to go. But how often are you on the track with the car. Normal 296 is more than good, trust me... use that money on instructor and pilota training with Ferrari or other instructor.

I totally agree with interior, I think cuoio looks very nice and the racing seats Daytona style with some element of alcantara. remember the lower dash are in alcantara and door parts of it in alcantara.

I would also go for black calipers or red calipers and silver wheels.

Having driven both- I can tell you the AF feels that much sharper- and I found the standard car - by comparison- a touch “dull” - if that matters to you, you should get the AF. It matters to me. And I agree, definitely worth getting some instructor time. That goes for any car.

To come back to the OP- it really depends on the concept of the car. If its to be a GT- then skip the AF- but then Id recommend changing the interior to more GT look.

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestions. Lift is important to me that is why AF pack was something I didn't go for, also dealer was suggesting against it. Having said that, I don't plan to track the car (atleast I think atm), will be used for for top down daily drive experience.
I kept interior black coz red exterior was already too much attention seeking, black interior with some red touches seemed like a good combination. Also, if I do tan/cuoio or sabbia, I fear it will be another color added to the mix of black, red and yellow.

For me both of them look almost the same, the forged wheels new aftermarket cost almost 6k EUR I think, you get 7KG less weight on the car with this wheels according to Ferrari https://www.ferrari.com/en-US/auto/genuine/ferrari-296-gtb/20-forged-wheels

One thought about exterior plastic parts - having them painted gloss black (either by Ferrari or aftermarket) looks great on Rosso Corsa car. Also cheaper (especially if done aftermarket) and less expensive to fix in case of damage/scratches than carbon.

If you keep it for long you will probably get sick of the black wheels. I'd go with silver.
