It is nice to know that my Series II 250 #2519 is enjoying some European roads! I owned it in the late 1980"s, and I believe I sold it in the early 1990"s. I would have to check specific dates. It brings back fond memories. Attached is a photo Image Unavailable, Please Login of the car when I displayed it at the Michigan Medowbrook Concours.

 

Must be very early 1990's because I saw it in 1991 here in the Netherlands

OK, so it is a rebody from a GTE into an S2 Cab and was last owned by René G.
Another lovely GTE destroyed forever, so sad. 4133 GT was born grigio notte (night grey).

I saw previously this link but it is not true, it is a genuine 250 gt cabriolet serie II but I wonder what is the chassis number

 

It is 4133 GT. Stickers on windsrceen.
See pic below, French plate 1566 VX 06 and note red arrow indicating serial number 4133.

Well, it now turns out that the red S2 Cab is a real one but using papers, insurance dox and license plates "1566 VX 06" of a grigio fumo 250 GTE 2+2 Coupé #4133 GT (which fortunately appears to still exist) all owned by the same person in Cannes, South of France. That guy also seems to have a red shortnosed 275 GTB, albeit in a rather messy state. All very .............. (insert your own word). Hmmm.
Which leaves the question unanswered what the chassis number of that red S2 Cab really is.........

I recently received #2683 for some work. Does anyone have any information regarding the history of this car?

It was auctioned at RM Monterey 2022.

 

Unfortunately we all have different intrerpretations of the term "restored" and the the catalogue description is slightly misleading.

 

TTBOMK 2683 GT was last fully restored 1989, that's 35 years ago.
It has had ten owners since then.

I worked on that car when a customer bought it in 2004. I believe it was blue at the time and quite a hot mess from what I remember. A shop in the UK told my customer what a great car it was. Back then it was not.

 

Nick kept it only 2 years, traded it for 300 K $ to Mark's GPC in La Jolla in 01/2006.

It’s wise to do the same with cars.
