It's certainly a "safe" build from a milqtoast perspective. It shouldn't lose value as other specs might, but it certainly isn't going to attract a lot of attention from future buyers, other than what other "safe" buyers might want. But, you can ignore my opinion, I'm not in the market for a 296. At this point, I'm not sure how a 6 cyl. Ferrari is going to age. It may age well. If you like the spec, it doesn't matter what I think or anyone else thinks as long as you are happy with your choice because that is all that matters, not some yahoo like me. Two things I'm certain of. 1). Carbon race seats and 2) carbon options. Those will hold their value for certain and set your car apart. As the car ages, those parts become a lot more valuable to the value of a Ferrari, any Ferrari. I would tell people to NEVER order a Ferrari without at least the CF race seats.

Thank you. I have added the carbon race seats and carbon center tunnel. I don't have any exterior carbon added atm.

In the UK it was £4,931 for the forged Matt wheels… apparently have to go with the titanium wheel bolts which added an extra £1k

    In US it seems
    Forged Grigio Matt/diamond: $8100
    Forged Glossy: $6,443
    + Titanium bolts ($1,687)

For me this doesn't make sense. Exterior carbon (front and side) are 12 k€ including tax. The rear diffusor isn't crucial, so take front and side panels in carbon fibre instead front/side and rear in gloss black for the same money. IMHO

Exactly.. In US, to paint those plastic parts costs $15,187. One should rather take front and side carbon options which will be around that much..

I’m of the opinion that partial exterior CF looks worse than no exterior CF. So for me, it’s full or none at all.

Agree - if you going to do carbon exterior do full carbon or else you can now get carbon fibre look PPF and wrap the plastic in that?

Wrapping the rear diffusor is difficult. At least if it should look perfect.

I don't think you can PPF plastic unless you paint it. Even then, the wrap may not hold.

Thats what I have been told, too. First you need to paint it, wait long enough to dry and than put PPF on it.

By the way Dino_Argento, I fully agree with you that one should go all (carbon) or nothing. BUT if I understand this post right, it is not only about optics but also price. If I have to pay 12 k€ for fully gloss black I would go front and side in Carbon for the same money. If you do not like the rear diffusor in plastic, you can retrofit it, even knowing that this will be the most expensive option, but you have the option. If you paint it, go for a paint shop company and hope, that they can put the rear diffusor on without trouble with parking sensors or camera.

A third option might be front and side in carbon, put matte PPF on it and leave the rear in plastic. That said you will find it even more difficult to destinguish between the matte looking carbon and the plastic rear. But still first option is: listen to Dino :).
