With the switch from BB to BBi, it is my understanding that the lights went from Carello to Cibie 35 ("airport") with chrome housings / bezels? Mine has a yellow (not really "amber") E2 136/128 lens (attached) that I am not particularly fond of, and would like to acquire a set of clear lens (ideally with white lens covers). The Cibie 35 has a handful of different lens types, so I'd like to use the same clear lens used on the BBi.

Anyone with first-hand knowledge on the correct flash to pass lights for a BBi would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I can take a pic of mine and send you pics tomorrow. I have complete sets of both Cibie 35 sets: one yellow and one clear. My car has white turn signal lenses so I don't know if the yellow flash to pass ones would ever look right.

    Thanks, that'd be very helpful.

I have amber turn signals, and I don't think it looks right with the yellow flash-to-pass. The colors are just off. Clear would look better, IMO.

Thanks 4right. I think those are the Cibie 35 clear "drive" lens with chrome bezel.

The close-up helps. It seems our cars have an hour glass pattern on the lens. The Cibie 35 "driving" lens doesn't typically have a pattern, and the "fog" has an aggressive pattern across the whole lens (regardless if it's clear or amber). Not sure if this is consistent for all BBi...

Can't make out the lens detail, but that's a great shot anyway...

I reached out to a seller on ebay who is selling NOS Cibie lights to see if he could identify the hourglass fluting; which he wasn't able to do. He said he'd been selling Cibie for years and hadn't seen that variation. It seems you can find NOS Cibie 35; they just won't have the hourglass fluting. Coincidentally, in the recent Ratrarossa video, he gets replacement lamps (Maranello Classic Parts?), and they do not have the fluting...

Do these lenses come with covers? I have a pair that I use. Not sure if they are actually for the car

I recently bought a pair of original Cibies fog lights for my BBi from Allferrariparts.com. New old stock.

I purchased clear lights from Maranello Classic Parts (https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/); which should arrive tomorrow. When they do, I'll post a picture of the lens. Curious to see if it has the hourglass fluting.

Did your lenses have the hourglass fluting?

Received my clear lenses from Maranello Classic Parts yesterday. They are in-fact Cibie 35, but they do not have the fluting in the center – which would be the standard "driving" lens. The "fog" lens has fluting across the entire lens. It seems the original BBi lenses were some kind of hybrid with the "hourglass" fluting; which appears to be NLA.

I still am looking for a place that has the correct covers for the Cibie 35.

I bought a "new" pair on ebay, but I don't recall seeing them as NOS.

I was thinking of 3D printing my own – without the Cibie branding, just plain white.

Thanks. I don’t quite need NOS. I just need “nice.”

Many that I see are wrong in they’re more square instead of having the slightly rounded sides.

If you do print some, let me know. I would take a pair.

    Will do.

I just received a spool of white ASA (similar to ABS, but better). I figured I would reverse engineer the Cibie 35 covers, and see where that gets me. If it works, I'll send you a pair.
