I have a 1998 355 convertible. The convert. top has forks are having trouble engaging the side studs. Sometimes they catch and sometimes they don't. After adjustment it works for one or two cycles and then they wont engage. Any suggestions?

I have one doing the same thing. I even took the entire pivot assembly out on both sides and elongated the bolt holes for more adjustment.

I may take the canvas off and get a full visual of what this dumbass roof is doing. In my case..I think something is bent.

Do you mean the forks are out of alignment laterally, or are the rams not retracting the forks in a timely manner and missing the pins?

Do you have enough fluid in the reservoir? Either way, I suppose you could try flushing out the old fluid and put new fluid in there. Make sure that everything is bled properly. Make sure the car is running when you operate the roof.
