My standout car at the FCA NSW Concorso and Display toady was Daytona - apparently fresh from a restoration
Not sure if it’s the same car that I saw several years ago at Cavallino Motorsport about to start a bare metal restoration but the timing might be correct

He's owned that car for 37 years. Has the original wheels but fitted the 16's for tyre choice.

I get that, but it looks so wrong. Please tell me he’s not on Chinese tyres because he didn’t want to cough up for TRXs

He was on Pirellis less than 5 years old.

Now I know why it has a repro steering wheel now. The wood wheel was wrong for a '74 car.

 

An eye for detail --should work well for you on the ferry as you climb into the upper bunk.

Yeah, nah. The only reason cars from that era have the TRX/wheel combo ditched is the price of TRXs. Ferrari set the suspension up specifically for the TRX and in any case, with the sort of driving the bulk of these cars do these days, the only difference you’d feel is in the hip pocket

BTW, whenever I go looking to buy a Ferrari, the first thing I check out is the tyres. The age, brand, wheel combo etc is usually a tell tale sign of how the car has been maintained. Chinese tyres is the biggest red flag of them all

 

Oh I dunno about that,when I had the 308 dropped at Carls it had 4 different dated (VERY) Michys on it.

 

4 different dated Chinese tyres would be worse
