488:Has anyone wrapped or painted this bridge part of the console red (or any color). I thought it may look sharp the wrap this rossa corsa red to match the exterior. The other option is carbon fiber to match my steering wheel. If you have done anything fun please share a pic. I think the gray plastic is really plain and want to dress it up a bit!

Wrap it first, so if you don't like it you can remove it

Don't use vinyl wrap, use the new colored PPF's.... vinyl wrap looks like trash always... the PPF will be smooth and glossy with no orange peel and you won't be able to tell the difference from paint. Post pics when you're done.

Matching the exterior paint looks good, IMO. I didn’t even know some cars were optioned that way until I found mine, and it’s one of my favorite features of the car. If the wrap/PPF can be color-matched and done carefully, you might consider the same treatment on the dash vents…

This is exactly what I was looking for. Looks sharp! I plan to wrap the bridge with red ppf. I will post pics.

I think it would look better with Carbon Fiber or Red Carbon Fiber. I think painted surfaces inside a F Car make it look like kitchen appliances.

Red carbon fiber is an interesting idea. Will look into it! I have two chips on the current bridge which is why I want to do something with it:)

I went ahead and had them wrap the console bridge in carbon fiber film. Simple and nothing to take apart. There were a few chips on the bridge so this works…..at least for now. Looks sharp in person!

They make great films now. Films so good, you can't tell it not real carbon fiber. Unfortunately no one makes it in the Ferrari weave which is a 1X1 pattern. What you have isma 2X2 pattern. Ferrari uses a very specific pattern. I guess it's ok if you don't have other real Ferrsri carbon fiber. But if you do, it's going to look mismatched and people that are remotely familiar with F Cars will know you went the cheap route on a very expensive car.

Yes agreed…not the same pattern but looks sharp! I have a carbon steering wheel. It looks great and blends fine and I am not trying to impress anyone. Just got the car and it was an easy thing to do to cover the imperfections while getting new ppf the other day. I may still replace it with real carbon fiber when at the shop for service in the future.
