    You mean 79890, it was always a work in progress leading up to becoming one of the 2 famed USA IMSA race cars, where it appeared in numerous guises, here it is in it's ultimate 'widebody' guise which Hurley Haywood disliked.

    Mods keep removing my posts, with a message saying copyright issues, given there are multiple pics on them can they simply remove the ones in question as I have no idea which they are!

    What about today?
    We can notice that Ferrari no longer really makes road cars for racing.
    288gto, F50, Enzo, LaF, A.. Never participated in races, only the F40 will have eaten the track.
    We see them more on beautiful avenues, fairs or other events.

    The funniest SP1, 2, 3 today is filled with racing numbers on the front bonnet, doors etc...
    To make it look like they have done some races.

    At the end, we could play a Lotto with his numbers.

    of the halo cars you are correct.
    the racing of cars originally designed to be road cars is now left to the mid engine v8's.
    and this is largely due to cost.
    ferrari challenge series now costs $1.5 mil for a season but you get to keep the car.
    every single one of the cars you name above costs multiples of that, and then you have to count all the parts, the crew, and the risk of destruction.
    the market has made it impossible.

    I agree. The XX program series (V12) are present and have a higher annual cost. So why not do it with its limited series?
    Money, speculation for road series cars? In fact, Ferrari is voluntarily far from its own principles.
