I note the recommended 'cold' tire pressure for an F8 is 31 psi front and 29 psi rear. I just want to verify that this is indeed correct and should be followed. In the past, I have kept my Ferrari tire pressures 34 & 35 (cold) psi front and rear.

  2. Um, why would you have done that?

    31/29 cold is correct for 458, 488, and F8
34/35 cold is way to high

at 31/29 cold the tires should heat up to 34/32 or so
if you start out cold at 34/35 you will soon be at a bone-jarring 37/38

Better traction/grip with the lower pressures...fyi. Also 488 is 30psi front 29 psi rear.... not 31 front.

my dealer had them a little over spec, which I hate! Been to lazy to deflate a little.

Yep! correct... F8 and 488 same tire size... I didn't know f8 uses 31 front compared to 488 30 front... but same rear pressure of 29psi as 488.

The tire placard on my F8 specifies 30/29, F/R. Michelin tires BTW.

Light sports cars are always sensitive to a few pounds of pressure. I usually keep my car. Is it exact recommended pressures. It’s a constant battle though, because every time it comes out of the dealership it’s over inflated.

I can feel the difference in 1 pound of pressure on the fronts

on the backs there needs to be 3 pounds of difference before I can feel the difference
