My wife’s cousin owned one of those, sold it to buy the 993 RSCS he still has. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
750k plus , Fabulous car to drive fast . I drove to the last AGP in Adelaide on Melbourne Cup day, one stop for fuel in under 6 hours much of the way sitting on 180kph.
You could get away with it ,I always drove at just under 30kph over country speed limits ,as it only involved a fine not now .
Reckon you could still get away with it now and not have them impound your car and crush it if you get caught? lol. BIG cojones!
Haha, car put over the edge on the SITING RUN at Noosa last weekend - my first comment was "Porsche?" ; yep, sure enough. Into a tree down the hill so hard they had to grind the front tow eye off the car; it's still embedded in the tree. To be fair though, the driver (a sponsor) was very contrite, took full responsibility for his actions, and apologised to everyone for ruining the afternoon.
What photos I have of it -few are worth putting up. The best one to be funny is a photo of it on a commercial development site, dirt road, car parked with workings going on , just over 2 acres of land in Northcote. I'll try and find the photo .
It was Friday afternoon siting runs so the balance had to be cancelled. Didn't affect racing on the weekend, but we had around 10 offs this time (compared to zero on the very wet weekend last year). No serious injuries but a lot of sore people on Monday and a lot of workshops will be busy - all driver error... One bloke claimed his throttle stuck - I checked with the scrutineer if double returns were required and he was going to check the particular vehicle; didn't hear the outcome, but moot since he was a trailer home job after the off.
This Carrera would have been perfect for GG and GAD runs ,oh well CAMS killed it Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here you go Pap, I bought new in 1995 this 993 RS, a great photo for several reasons. My business was booming on all fronts, mortgage/investment firm, a share in an insurance firm, and a share in a superannuation company, with the odd commercial development. In the above photo, I funded a developer into a 2-acre commercial site in Northcote, and he went belly up. So I decided to take over the project -sack the architect who was a crook, pay off all the creditors, and work my way through the various issues -which were many. So here I am on-site with the then-new RS -Thinking what a mess, in the end, cleaned up the issues, and sold off the site with NO loss to my investors and a nice consultee fee for myself.
