Digging deeper into my F355 Carbon Fiber/Kevlar Racing Seat database, I have only been able to find 1 U.S. GTS other than mine with factory seats and factory manual transmission. It's a '99 Rosso Corsa with the launch black seats with red inserts. It shows just how rare these factory Racing Seat equipped U.S. spec cars truly are.
U Boat's car is a '96 that has custom tan diamond stitched seats which were swapped in from another car.
You're right; I mixed up the descriptions with another car. His seats are not factory original, but the car looks awesome with the Daytona style inserts. I don't think I have seen the '99 owner post on FChat, but it's listed in the Registry.
There are some pictures (from Ferrari) which show the sport seats in combination with 4 point harness. I could not find this option in any price list. And never saw this 4 point harness on any street car. So this was perhaps „planed“ but never realised or official offered? Does somebody know anything about the 4 Point harness?
It doesn‘t make a lot of sense - the Gran Tourismo 550 Maranello got this option and the more driver orientated F355 didn‘t get this. The sport seats are rare on the 550. The 4 point harness even more.

prices are all over the place. Depending on condition and how many people are looking (supply/demand) at any given time.
Man oh MAN...Those 355's with carbon seats are on ...I would KILL for those seats in my car...I have #86/100 1999 Serie Fiorano ( and the only 355 made in Grigio Alloy color) that should 1000% have these seats in it...car is already loaded with carbon fiber parts yet has the basic "buzz kill" seats...How can I buy a set of these seats?...or does some aftermarket company make carbon fiber for the standard seats?
