If your car is 25 years or older you only have to get a safety inspection.

For only 2 more years. Its about time. 37 states have figured out safety inspections are worthless when it comes to highway safety.

What does that entail? I have a car turning 25 next year.

Pretty much do your lights work? Does the horn? Brakes? Ok, you're good.

Reminds me, the 328 is due. :(

Too many restrictions for Antique plates in Texas. You're limited to using the car only for "parades, exhibitions and other public events."

I just took my '60 Austin Healey in for its annual inspection last week. I do have a 1960 period correct plate on it, that I bought off ebay and re-painted.

Just get it registered as a Classic. No restrictions as far as I know.

That's what you have to do in order to run the vintage plates.
