Hi joe, do you know why the USA cars have the extended lower splitter compared to the ROW cars, is it part of USA regulations somehow, as I know the way the road guttering works in USA entering a filling station or driveways for example can be an issue for low cars and I assume it would be easier for ROW f50s compared to USA cars. Is that right or both the same really. ?

See iohead's link above for the discussion of the USA cars more prominent splitters, as for entering driveways, there's not much difference between the USA and Eu cars as one simply deploys front front lift.

    Thanks that’s great. !

Ah ok thanks I thought the more prominent front, might of been more noticeable on driveways in comparison. Thanks.

Very cool story, I hope the new owner puts it on the track where it belongs.

There was another F50 which raced, although just in a single event, which it won, here's a video:

    drive.google.com

F50 103328 production number 014/349 was sold new in November 1995 to Hong Kong race-car driver Charles Kwan and immediately entered that same month into the Macao Supercar race sponsored by Mandarina Duck.

This F50 was sold on to Japan and is now also in the USA.

Marcel perhaps you are thinking of the AB's F40 84764 which in fact was re-painted a non-red color, Nero, as shown at the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours d'Elegance way back in 2015.

I'm not sure F50 106770 has been repainted another color, but I'll stand corrected if it has, if it hasn't, we'll see what a 10.9k miles F50 in the UK is worth.

As regards the Duplicato warranty booklets, I am seeing more of these nowadays, it's amazing to me that the originals somehow get lost, but it seems to happen often which is why Ferrari SpA have come up with this replacement system. Obviously the Duplicato book is not as desirable, but it doesn't seem to be a deal-breaker for sales of the few Ferrari Supercars that we have sold where these were what came with the car, perhaps the younger generation of buyer that's acquiring these cars aren't fazed by this and are mostly focused on low miles and condition.

    Incorrect.

This is the correct original F50 Schedoni leather owner's manual pouch for this, and other F50s.

    For example https://www.classicferrariparts.co.uk/shop/1995-97-ferrari-f50-schedoni-owners-manual-certificate-pouch-handbook/

As you can see from the images below, the front of the special leather & carbon-fiber owner's manual pouch is embossed with "F50" which is because it was made by Schedoni to order for Ferrari SpA for production F50s.

As you can also see from the images below, the original owner's manual pouch for F50 103328 has the exact same cut-off inside flaps and Prancing Horse embossed as the item for sale by Ryan at Classic Ferrari Parts. That said, the original owner's manual pouch for F50 103328 was special-order customized for Kwan's car, something Schedoni did for VIP customers upon request, by hand-inscribing it to the car's 014/349 production number. Most pouches did not have this special-order inscription.

For the avoidance of doubt that a human at Schedoni and not a robot did the calligraphy for F40 & F50 Schedoni leather ancillaries.
