    I owned one for around 3 years ,wonderful built things inside ,but one with those cylinder heads always wondering when it will do a head gasket NO thanks .

    There's nothing wrong with the head gaskets, they are a weak point because knobs gas the turbocharged engine when it's cold.

    Go have a baby in QLD under a viaduct.

    Wrong the original head gaskets fitted to the Cosworth head cars are known to fail there would be few Turbo spec cars with the latter cylinder head gaskets still fitted.
    Hence the replacement gasket is different.

    THAT is NOT Rolls-Royce motors wiring, it has an aftermarket radio/stereo and late fit Air-cond plus it is a Park Ward car that did much of its own wiring.

    The Standard Silver Cloud -S series cars have a high standard of wiring!

    You lack knowledge of these cars -go have a baby under the viaduct in Longford.

    I never said it was Rolls Royce wiring. I love the original wiring with the woven insulation. That wiring is just a dreadful example of aftermarket shenanigans performed by a Red Rooster cheapskate. Of which there are plenty. And Rolls Royce owners mostly love saving money.

    Here's a good labour intensive activity to make you fall in love with OHOSs. This RHR suspension level control unit sprung a leak. This was the second time it had done so, and this unit is the warranty replacement.

    Pulling the two halves apart you can see the hydraulic fluid is not only hostile to the "O" rings, but it appears they are the wrong size. Additionally, the housing had been done up so tight it was actually warped, it was never going to seal anyway.

    I had a set of genuine seals in stock and ran both halves of the unit across the mill to get them flat.

    Assembled and all good. Then a 3 hour process to pump 5L of RR363 (the Rolls Royce proprietary fluid) through 15 bleed nipples and away you go. The rear ride height required a minor tweak to get it to the factory specification.

    The entire process took 12 hours to complete. Costs can really run away with these cars because the labour component is very expensive. I hope that's the end of it. Happy days.
