@Depreciating Asset The OEM over axle pipes are crimped…here is a photo Trev sent me comparing SS to OEM. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not significantly. It’s more if you’re already going to the trouble of getting full headers and ceramic coating.
So I now have Fabio’s H-pipe and rear exhaust boxes installed. Holy moly what a difference, sounds incredible!
Would definitely have done the over axle pipes had I known...I'm usually more prepared than this! They are 8 weeks out and possibly longer with the holidays so I'll save that for when I run out of other projects.
Lol, I’m trying to resist going that far. I uploaded this video when I got home, it doesn’t completely capture the sound, but in the flesh, with the valves open it sure sounds angry at idle https://youtube.com/shorts/dUf37BarNI8?si=uhU4Va9xQTXnJd7D
Thanks Greg, there is no doubt that we have made the car much louder. My only problem with this is that it errs on the side of droning rather than melodic. I have been spoilt over the years by many melodic cars like GT3's and F12, F12TDF. The guys at Ferrari really worked on the harmonics with the 296 hence why they call it the piccolo V12. To me the only way get the melodic note with a crescendo is to add the 6 - 1 headers. It's only a matter of time before you make this happen!
Question - I have a 575 Manual that has Tubi mufflers - whats the best parts to integrate to get that F1 sound? I remember on my 360 I added a Tubi exhaust and the sound was there - thanks all!
If going whole system order the axle pipes Supersprint now as there is a back order / delay. I have the full system now. It is much more lively vs Headers>high flow cats > H pipe > SS axle pipes > OEM HGTC mufflers.
I unfortunately went the other way and did the secondary cat delete and the fiamenghi rear set. And I had the Tubi rear and definitely should have started with the 6 - 1 headers as this is what makes the car really crescendo. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Thanks Terry, I always call them secondary as they are secondary to the precats. You are right with Primary as they are there to be CATS post.
Since I am having my 599 GTB converted at the moment….. I have been tossing up if I should get the Fiamenghi for the 599. What do you guys think? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The best you can do for a 599 GTB. If you don't want it too loud, order the small silencers Fabio developed for me. Then, loudness level is like the original GTB but much more fine and with the high pitch. Remember that with flaps open, the 599 has the cats as silencers only. The rear mufflers are straight piped when flaps open. 6 cats original, only 2 cats with the 6-1, and this is loud. Daniel
Ferrari did exactly what Fabio did for the GTB when they brought out the GTO. 6-1 headers, two primary cats, and a considerable increase in hp not totally due to the exhaust. GTO exhaust below. Red is cats, yellow is just straight pipes. Image Unavailable, Please Login
