Curious if anyone has any good suggestions for seat replacement that would look right in a 348. Its a very tricky balance with these cars and most who replace the seats dont hit the mark. Obviously the factory options are ideal, and the serie speciale being the pinacle for the 348.
These fixed back buckets would be pretty nice and fit the theme and era well, They arent large bulky race seats, but from what I read they are a very tight fit and my big self probably would not fit. Thats another thing I need to think about is getting as low and far back as possible for some more room.

I do love the Sparco legend seats, Kevlar race bucket very fitting for the era. I would need to go full on the race theme for these though and getting in and out would be a bit of an effort, but man they are sweet.
This is them in the Liberty Walk F40. They are similar to an F40 style seat.

OMP WRC-R Carbon are very close to the period challenge seats, and they make an XL version but not in carbon. My concern with them in a street car would be the height of the thigh bolsters. The Champ-R has lower bolsters so would be better in a street car but are not available in carbon.

the standard race bucket is what I am trying to avoid. I dont think they look right in these cars unless its a dedicated track/race car then sure its understandable. The look has to be right for the car most importantly.

old, tired, bolster torn, leather cracking. For the price to recover I am thinking an entire different seat might be an option and just keep them for original sake

Thats what I was hoping to find, a well executed seat swap. I really like the look.
How did they change the seating position? More room than before?

I stumbled across the Cobra Le Mans in leather. Fantastic. Fits the 355 or earlier 348 Spyder very well. Going to consider those so my original seats stay perfect.

You sit ever so slightly higher than stock if not at stock height. But I’m also as low as I can possibly go.

If you decide to go that route, I can put you in touch with the company that offers the bolt-on side mounts.

Another seat I have been considering is the Cobra Nogaro. Looks very similar to the pole position but has some lower hip bolsters that would make getting in and out easier. They even have a version with no shoulder harness openings. If I had an all black interior it would be an easy decision now seing those pole positions in there. Recovering brand new seats to match the interior seems counterintuitive to the seat swap idea.

F430 seats look good and feel like they belong in that one. I have come close to purchasing a set but got nervous they would be too large, put me farther forward and up. Did they change the seating position?

They aren't really "forward" but they do put you "up" a bit taller in the seat.

What do you mean by "tubes?"

@lanab Can you post details on the install? These are top of my list as I can't stand the stock bench seats. How well do they fit? Do they change the seating height at all?

PP's are beautiful and I ran them in my 993 for a few years. Was hard enough getting in and out of them in a 993, cannot imagine what it's like in a 355 where you also have to climb over a hugely wide sill. No thanks.
