Setting PIS on Launch X431

Seems to be working. I did a gearbox self-learn then adjusted PIS down to 4.8. Definite dragging and the car would creep in reverse. Adjusted to 5.0 and it feels like there's slight drag (change in engine tone when you put it into gear) but it doesn't creep. I'll drive it a bit and see how it goes.

Very disappointing that it won't read the ABS / ASR system but for £100 I guess it's OK if you're only interested in the engine & gearbox.

sundayjumper, I used an AUTEL machine (can't remember model) for ABS/WHEEL SPEED SENSORS/ENGINE etc ,was great tool just didn't do P I S. Also when I had almost exactly the same readings and symptoms as you're getting at the moment, it was my flywheel was dished/distorted. After fitting new clutch and a billet flywheel I now run the PIS around 4.3

 

Oh, that's a bit worrying, I wasn't planning on a new clutch & flywheel just yet !

I happened to drive the car a bit today, it's definitely better that it was before the self-learn / slight PIS tweak, so I'll keep driving it and think about the clutch if (when) it ever starts slipping or juddering.

I'll take a look at Autel. It's so frustrating that none of the scanners seem to cover *everything*.
