They're out there, Karen. My wife is standing next to me, and just rattled off 5 names off the top of her head (after she stopped laughing). Here are a couple that I could think of without my wife's help: Angelo Vasta and Lionel Murphy. There have been numerous examples of bias in the judiciary, not always political, and from the right and the left. It just happens that in today's society, left-wing bias is predominant. Just look at the high court rulings on illegal aliens, FFS!
Of course there have been bad judges in history (and Vasta and Murphy have both been gone for decades) but that does NOT mean the court system is fatally flawed. For one thing, the high court decision is decided by SEVEN judges, not by one. Just becuase someone doesn’t like the decision doesn’t mean the ruling is wrong IN LAW (like I said, the law can be an ass). My point is not that decisions are always what WE want, but I don’t want Aus ti go down the ridiculous path of dissing the legal system.
Too funny Greens ,Teals new car policy NO car over 19years of age to be road registered ,looks like the local Teal supporters in FQ will be walking
Exactly - and who is to blame for the ‘every kiddie who can pay gets a degree’? John Howard’s decision to turn universities into ‘businesses’ funded by students both local and international paying for degrees. When you and I wanted to get into uni, we had to have academic ability, not just cash. Nobody fails anymore because the ‘training’ centre can’t afford to lose the cash.
Ah, no. The universities made that decision, not John Howard. Withdrawing funding from non-STEM subjects is a step in the right direction.
Ah, nope. The first one was. Reading her bio is an exercise in how to live off the public purse. I like the way she left Brisbane, because it was too racist, and went to live in Japan, one of the most racist countries on earth!
One wonders how much of what is written on her Wikipedia page is fact and how much is nonsense made up ?
Just did ., took the E-type for a drive just before, all good, but gee I'm nervous in Melbourne traffic now.
I don't like driving anything in cities, rather catch a bus or train as all the bloody taxi drivers are Hamas in disguise.
