They're pescatarians, but I was hesitant to add fish before I tasted the initial attempt...T

Keith...Lately, we've been doing halibut with pesto. My wife - who is not a big fan of fish - loves it...T

We often do a picatta. Halibut demands a sauce as you know. Thanks Tom.

agreed, halibut can be somewhat dry...even coooked correctly. I must say bit I prefer rockfish. But Halibutt makes a nice fish taco....I fish them inSF bay in calif. Good eats....

A lot of options for sure. Kinda like smokers now...

This was an experiment (ok, 3AM insomnia impulse buy :D). I knew I wanted the larger size (16" vs. 12"/13"). The rotating stone and flex fuel pointed me to the one I picked up for $350. Works great, but lacking the wood smoke flavor/aroma of the brick oven joint in town. Nephew visiting this weekend and I'm thinking about trying lump charcoal.

Also seriously looking at the Bertello 16" that uses propane and wood simultaneously. The lump charcoal run will help decision-making.

I am still paying the price for the rink food at Wednesday's Canes-Flyers game. Don't ask :(

    Top notch.

    "grilled haloumi cheese, fries..."
AzIt - both regular (potato) fries and halloumi (cheese) fries? Had to Google it, something I had not heard of...

    https://feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/halloumi-fries/
Kind of sounds like Middle Eastern mozzarella sticks. Not sure I have seen halloumi cheese around here.

If you want to amp up the garlicky goodness, try toum.

Pickled turnips are a good, go-with...

Strips and filets tonight. All from Wegmans. Good but not fantastic. The strips were much better than the filets. Still very good overall.

Maters @ Kroger are still pretty good this late in the season.
Last batch of corn tasted like Dent corn. Blech.

Bone-in rib roast on the roti tonight!

obligatory monthly salad night (meh, who am I kidding, quarterly salad night)

I think its related to a touch of OCD, but I really love clean-out-the-fridge night. This salad had so many odd tidbits that needed to be finished up from the fridge; grilled chicken, the last of the falafel, some roasted beets, sundried tomatoes, the last of the haloumi, the last of the yogurt/herb sauce from the falafel wraps, oh...and some lettuce and veggies.

There...now I've checked off "salad" until January!

It was awesome. So much so that "Mrs. I Don't Like Leftovers" snuck in a small leftover piece for lunch after a drive in the country! [emoji2]
