Hello guys it's been a while, I have a 2002 360 Spider with documented 14800 miles, last night when to pick up my wife and had to wait a few minutes, I did not realize that temperature was creeping up, only 3/4 did not reach the red. on the way home I could not put the top down, headlights went out (and it was dark) car was running like in limp mode, check engine light came on, after scaning this morning two codes, P0071 Ambient air temperature and P0646 a/c clutch and RH-B P1 571 immobilizer, so three I've checked all fuses and they are all good. Help! I really would appreciate the help Thank You.
First check the age and condition of the battery. Then go from there. Low voltage cause strange things to happen.
If the alternator checks out ok... Those first two codes don't match my list. For air temperature, maybe try inspecting/cleaning the pins on the MAF connectors ( L & R). Regarding "a/c clutch", was your aircon working? Maybe try resetting the A/C compressor relay (behind the left hand seat) For code P1571, the book says "check the wiring", so no much help.
