Yes!! It's just been some time since the stereo was energized... The faceplate was floating around on the floor as the waters from Harvey crept in, thankfully not much further... I will try it today!!
I put a single DIN pioneer pull out screen Apple car play Bluetooth and phone 50w and used Morel speakers for the doors, bought pods from Crutchfield (as with everything else) and it sounds decent with the top on and even windows open. Building a small passive subwoofer box (9x9x9) to put behind the footwell and power it with a mini 4 channel smart amp https://www.crutchfield.com/S-iJUuXxf0bGX/p_20647KEY20/Kicker-47KEY200-4.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
BREMEN SQR 46 DAB appears to be discontinued. There still a few for sale out there, but probably they will dry up soon. I'm on the fence only because it's $600 for a radio I'm unlikely to use very often. But I do have a hole in the dashboard right now.
I'm still a CD guy. In fact I walked from buying a used Jeep Cherokee last year over drawing a line in the sand with a CD player. I bought a 2014 ML350 instead because it has a 6 disc changer in it.
It looks like a very cool unit. But from what I can tell the Bluetooth connection only works for handsfree calling and not for streaming audio. Is that true? If so then it's a pass for me unfortunately.
Thanks guys. That’s helpful. I’m not sure where I read that it doesn’t stream over BT, but glad to hear that isn’t the case.
Does this in any way lower the value if my head unit is original? Would love some opinions. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The 308's did not come with radio head units from the factory...only speakers Head units where Dealer installed so there is no "Original" radio
+1 Although a period correct headunit with cassette player is ideal to keep your car “looking original”.
Great point. I will make sure I do. I heard this place in Houston does a great job. https://houstoncarstereo.com/
