Thank you everyone. my patience is getting a bit thin as the project is taking longer than expected but in the end it will be worth it. Much appreciated.
Hofstadter's Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.
Budget got thrown out the window months ago. Good news is the house has appreciated like crazy. Beyond my wildest dreams.
What's driving the market out there? I'm seeing the same in south FL, especially intercoastal homes and lots. I've held off waiting for a correction.
I thought the water issues had a chilling effect on the market.? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
fake news. while there is some long term issue with water, its overblown. Lets just assume for a second that AZ has no more water for new developments, what does that do to the value of existing properties?
I would cancel Netflix when you have that view....! Not sure if this wa sbrought up before, but did you have the builder or anyone else do an analysis of the accoustics of the house? With all that glass, you have the issue of turning your house into one big echo chamber. Some say: "just drop a few rugs and carpets and you're done" but that never truly solves the problem. We installed a full accoustic ceiling and the reulsts have been mind blowing; yet none actually notices (which is what you want). Too many times have I been into big houses/restaurants/etc where the decor is amazing yet accoustics were so bad you couldn't have a converstion with the person sitting accoross the table!
#metoo We sold our place last month (have to be out by Dec. 2nd, as I needed time to pack all my art and antiques) and want to get to Fla but the market is crazy right now; I too am waiting. Congratulations SoCal- it looks amazing. Mike

Insulation is complete. Drywall is next. Probably looking at 4-6 weeks for drywall. Then initial paint, flooring, cabinets and finishes. Not quite at the finish line but we can see it in the distance… Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
