I did. I miss it alot already. I hope the F50 is everything people tell me it is. Otherwise, may have to find a good F40 I can drive without worrying about miles.

Buy two. One to put on the turningtable in your living room and the other to drive. Where's the problem?

The F50 is a different driving experience from the F40, but I think you'll enjoy it, the gearbox is easier, smoother than the F40's, and the V12 howl is addictive, that said, nothing can match the explosive ferocity of the F40 when it comes on boost.

I noticed a post on Instagram this week with pictures of 104092 - one of the four cars finished in Nero from the factory. The caption stated that this F50 was originally owned by Tommy Hilfiger. I knew it was based in Greenwich, CT for years and I saw plenty of pictures of it there but I never knew that it belonged to Tommy. I did a quick search here but can't find any mention of him owning a black F50 - does anyone know if it's true?

My recollection is fuzzy, but I thought 104092 was in a pretty awesome collection in OH, prior to going through an OH dealer and then consigned to RM... No mention of Ohio in Barchetta, but missing details are not unusual.

Barachetta isn’t the most up to date.

Right... And that's the point - if there's lots of missing and outdated information, it seems reasonable to suspect some incorrect information as well, such as TH owning 104092.

    Curious to know the truth.

Edit - This post from 2006 says that 104092 belonged to John McCaw at the time.

out dated means means the information isn’t up to date. Not that it can possibly be incorrect. Which could always be true. I just have not found enough incorrect information to warrant me to be skeptical of Barchetta. They are what I use to find the history of classic Ferraris I come across. They’re just not the best for looking for the current information on a car.

    TH did not own 104092.
    It originally lived in Oregon.

Thank you Marcel for confirming that it was in fact, reasonable to suspect, that Barchetta.cc was incorrect in this instance when stating TH owned 104092.

They are so so different. Could not be more different if they tried! F50 almost feels a bit boring after F40 until you get to know its hidden depths IMHO

My notes - always subject to update or correction - have F50 104092 (62/349) originally with John McCaw in his Oregon collection.

Then sold via California in the early 2000s with 500 miles to a Midwest collector, Mc Caw repolaced it with Enzo 133513.

Then auctioned off at the RM Sotheby's Arizona 2017 sale for $3,135,000, the winning bidder was David Mc Neil who purchased it to join 2 other red F50s.

1st image - 104092 on the road on Illinois dealer plates said to be driven by Cooper Mc Neil.

2nd image - 104092 imaged by RM Sothebys for their 2017 auction.

    Nice!

We sold both F50 104746 and F40 86438 (plus GTO 56767) to the current owner who is a true Supercar enthusiast who uses and shares them.

Entered in FCA 2018 concours in Corning NY and scored 99.5. Cooper drove at Watkins Glen and won the Coppa GT. He gave my other half a ride around Watkins Glen area on the country roads to get his Coppa Bella Machina award. Its a beautiful car. She and Cooper have become friends over he years.

About 15 years ago, on the very day I sold Bill F40 86438, for some reason I was a passenger on his maiden drive, he had the car up to full boost going as fast as it would go!

I think he has mellowed since.

    Here's his F50 104746 together with his GTO 56767, F40 86438, and his ex-Nicolas Cage Enzo.
