They will leave you behind, don’t race them and embarrass yourself.

All you have to do is look at the government that was voted in and then added a punitive luxury tax for all lux goods over 100 k …a province full of socialists. Lol… but one of the most Beautiful provinces.

    Indeed. Color definitely matters.

I have a Nero Daytona 458 that basically flew under the radar until I wrapped it in Inozetek's Metallic Midnight Red. It's a red that is probably closest to Rosso Fuoco. Now the car gets much more attention than it did.

I live in San Francisco and I wouldn't consider the culture here to be too supercar-friendly though. Folks in tech are often blamed for the ridiculous housing prices in San Francisco and to many, supercars are a reminder of the growing wealth disparity. While the majority of the attention is very positive, I did experience a cyclist give me the finger and spit on my 458. By the time I had realized that my car had been spat on, the cyclist was long gone. Needless to say, I never park the car anywhere where I can't keep an eye on it.

While the Ferrari gets more attention as a red car than it did as a black car, the attention pales in comparison to my Huracan Evo Spyder. Even in San Francisco, I notice cameras filming my car. I've even had people get out of their cars to take photos. While these cars are fairly common in Miami and LA (where even hypercars are common), you'll generally not see them driving around in San Francisco.

Again, most of the attention is very positive. It's great to see the effect these cars have on little kids. For many of us, the love of cars started before we could walk. These are basically big toys after all. Sharing these toys with people who appreciate them as much as we do is a very rewarding part of the supercar ownership experience.

Old thread. But interesting. I just sold my Rosso Mars Huracan (2020). I drove it in NYC and Chicago. Got uber attention, young kids, middle age moms, bus drivers LOL. Replaced it with 458 Spider in White, and attention a bit muted, although had her out today and got a lot of attention, equivalent to the peak days of the Huracan.

Guess it depends where you drive and live.
When I take cars out in SoCal, no notice, sans the LFA.
In WA, even the 350R is an event!

When i take the 488 spider to a Ferrari event in S Cal, it might as well be a Camry. No one looks twice.

Saw same happen a few years ago with the sf90. Two of them at a car show and nobody noticed. The LFA though….

It's getting to be like that everywhere. Exotics just aren't what they used to be. They are all too common.

I find myself walking past all the exotics but stopping and drooling over old jdm cars or old schools.

At a price point, roughly equivalent, to a well-equipped F8, almost nothing gets more attention than a Ford GT. I’d still have mine were it not for a brief moment of indiscretion.

Don’t know if you are talking old or new Ford GT. I have one of the old ones, and it gets a lot of attention…. but a fraction of what my Diablo Roadster gets…..which is just rediculous. They are so rare they are never seen on the road.
