Oh my God. I set my TV to record the Abu Dhabi GP. For some reason, my TV recorded the F-1 Kids Channel. I was treated to cartoon graphics, 10 year old kids describing the race and a bunch of laughter. It was impossible to watch. I had to turn off the sound. It was absolutely painful. I almost think that it was adults whose voices were modified by some electronic means to sound like kids. God, it was awful.
I dealt with the same thing. At first I thought it one off broadcast but then realized it was for kids. It’s was god awful. The commentators were terrible, bunch of kids with one adult who had no idea what they were talking about. The graphics made it look like a video game.
me too. realized that there is a kids version on espn. switched back to the regular version. it was bizarre to listen to.
Same thing happened to me. I literally turned it off during the formation lap and just resigned myself to not watching. It wasn't until around 10pm that I realized there was an OPTION button by the recording to watch a the standard view. But my God was that awful. Nothing more annoying than children mimicking grown ups in their delivery and what not. Just awful. I have no idea who that's for but it should be cancelled. All I could think about is how many different ways F1 can screw up F1. Could you imagine a gaggle of Pee-Wee football players doing the commentary for Monday night NFL football? No of course not... why? Because they have the good sense to realize NO ONE would watch!
ADHD in kids is increased by their immediate environment, on top of any inherent genetic levels. F1 should study the condition carefully before pumping kids with fuel on the fire.
