    What is their deal? I've heard numerous people say that but no real idea why.

    If $5k is a big surprise to you then shop another brand. Seriously. Go look up a set of wheels bearings or a radiator, water/oil pump, shocks, etc. Folks self insure for 10 times that amount.

    Damm. How many miles and how much did you pay if you don't mind sharing? That's close to 25% of the car value.

    Honestly, I’ve had $5k repair bills on BMWs and my 911 Turbo so this isn’t limited to exotics.

    Even on a Ford GT, which is relatively cheap to repair because the Ford parts bin is pretty deep……want a set of headlights? The going rate is $15k.

    This isn’t a cheap hobby…..but may be less expensive than the watch hobby LOL

    Has right at 25,000 miles on it. It's clearly not a "low mileage" 2007, but looks great - just was backlogged in maintenance (like headers, brakes, tires, etc.)
