I am considering purchasing some 348 wheels to put on my 1985 Mondial cabriolet (USA version). From what I can tell, it looks like the 348 rear wheels are different for USA and non-USA spec. with part numbers 136547 and 136538 for non-USA and 156244 and 156242 for USA. Looking a pictures of wheels for sale, it looks like the 136547 and 136538 have an offset of 68.08 and the 156244 and 156242 have an offset of 43.05 if I am understanding the information on the wheels correctly. So my question, which ones work best on a Mondial?

Thanks. I'm new to all of this Italian stuff so bear with me. Been with British cars my whole life but thought why not get into something different.

No responses? Is it because I said I have British cars?

I love british cars as well! ;-)

And also 348 wheels: I've got the ET68 on mine with 11mm spacer. Don't forget the right bolt lenght!

Thanks for the response. So if I understand offsets correctly, an ET68 with an 11mm spacer would turn out to be equivalent to a ET57, right?

Yes. I did the spacer only for optical reasons, but more and probably the tire would touch the wheel arch. I don't see a ET43 version working with the stock wheel arch. Let me see if I find a picture of mine....

Image Unavailable, Please Login Here is a picture of what I have right now. They stick out way too far and I think they look terrible. Now just need to find someone with some reasonably priced 348 wheels.

I've got a set of 348 wheels with bolts that came off my 1983 QV, I'm open to offers. Sadly they are located in Italy which might be a problem for you.

    Hi John

Yes, you are probably right, customs charges are a real nightmare these days.

    Best wishes, Mauro

The 348 wheels on a Mondial are the BEST wheels you can put on. They look right in their place. Much nicer than the original ones in my opinion.
    Way to go !

Are those 308 wheels? (That's the sort of result that happens with 308 wheels on a Mondial.)

No, but they could have some value for resale (and the stock Mondial wheels will not have that "stick out" issue - but agree that 348 wheels look good on a Mondial).

Yes it's a great look on these cars. The previous owner put 348 wheels on my '85 QV Cab. Even in the spare tire well. I also have the original metric wheels which would go with the car, but I doubt I'd ever sell this one. Did you say you have a '85? Looks like the front and rear panels from a '86 rather than the black bumpers, or was it a typo in the first post. I am a fan of the black bumper look and sometimes people even have those painted body color. Honestly all combinations look good if the work is done well.

360 wheels are the best look, IMHO, some longer bolts and the correct tires, and you're good to go. It updates to look at the car without looking aftermarket. And they are still very affordable.
