Many years ago (1969) first Formula One race in Las Vegas I was asked to do a lap with some other FERRARI's I'm 2nd in line ... Thought you might enjoy the old picture. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bill- Hopefully you have a photo or two of her with your musical instruments crammed inside.[/QUOTE] Hi Terry somewhere that might be a picture because one of the guys in my band took a photo when I first started transporting the drums in 3269 of course he thought it was hysterical.... It was impossible to use any cases if you look at this picture this is the entire set. all the hardware went behind the two front seats, bass drum passenger seat ,small tom on the floor in front of the bass drum with the top of the my seat .. The floor tom and everything else went in the trunk with my clothing . It wasn't the easiest way to transport DRUMS but the car was such fun to drive I really didn't care about putting in the extra effort in packing it up and taking it out. When this photo was taken of course I was playing in Las Vegas somebody saw the car and invited me to do that first lap. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bill- Unreal all that gear would go into a SWB. Back in the days when a SWB was not a multi-million dollar collector piece.
OMG!! What a very special car!!! Tell us more about the Bertone please. When did you buy it, did you sell? If so when? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
This will answer all your questions.....https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/my-first-ferrari-250-gt-swb-one-off-3269-gt.259405/
Bill- Great thread. Lots of very familiar names posting in it. Your Ferrari ownership predated mine by a decade, and she was only a V6.
Yes Terry it turned out to be a great thread....kept going going and going I still don't understand what makes it worth that kind of money there are other FERRARI's with a racing history that don't bring that kind of money
Amazing Thread! I definitely have to get through this! Talking of the Las Vegas GP, personally, I had the most amazing time as I brought my 15 year daughter who is massively into F1 and we were in the Alpine Pit Garage for the whole event. I am very lucky and grateful for the friends I have in the Paddock and it was so awesome to share this with my daughter! She is already planning the next one! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Wow! Great to know people. We were in the $2500 cheap seats at the sphere but had a blast. Even FP1/2 fail...we just party
Bill- Those other Ferraris with racing history were nowhere near as pretty and most were not one-offs.
