Oh, the plug covers are sitting on 1/4" aluminum standoffs just to promote some air circulation.

The passenger side bank I converted first and I held the 1/4" stand-off bushings with a curved pair of pliers while inserting slightly longer screws but on my second attempt I JB Welded the bushings to the bottom of the cover so I would have to worry about dropping a bushing down a spark plug hole forcing me to remove the cover and start over. If I want to remove the spacers at some point it won't be hard to snap them off and grind/file the back of the cover flat again.
I cut to length and reterminated my plug wires utilizing 45 degree boots at the coils.

Later developments have me changing plugs to Denso Iridium and at the same time installing rubber bushings were the plug wires pass through the aluminum plug cover plates
