Not sure what type but I’d say 6-8 inches thick? After spraying they had to go back in and cut off the excess that was sticking out past the framing.

Having been asked that dozens of times about mine, I stopped giving real answers. The Universe seems to take that as a "Oh, you THINK so, huh?" challenge.

We did a recent house with the spray in exterior/roof for insulation purposes and the interior walls have a different insulation that is primarily for sound. Very nice and quiet place in spite of a lot of windows, tall ceilings and wood floors. I have no idea what kind…

Every external wall and ceiling including garages, is sprayed with spray foam. The excess is cut back flush. All internal walls have regular fiberglass insulation more for soundproofing than insulation. Was just at the house and I think Friday is clean up day to get rid of all the excess debris and then drywall and the mess starts all over again.

Mike- this is a crappy pic but it’s all I have now. I’ll grab another when they put brown coat on the outside.

    Drywall Tuesday.

Motors for the glass sliders went in yesterday.
Last few minor changes to get all the lights/wires etc dialed in are being done.

All hands on deck starting Tuesday with the Drywall.

    **** is getting real!

You'll be surprised at how quickly drywall will go up with good people. Wait till they start to mud the joints! You'll be amazed at how fast they move.

Seeing that drywall reminds me to share something with you that happened with our build.

Our windows frames on the inside are wood, we have a lot of large windows, and I was concerned that when they did the drywall mud, it would be a mess to clean up and possibly damage the wood frames. So I asked why they didn't tape off the wood framing to protect it and provide easy clean up. The builder assured me it would be fine. Sure enough, after the drywall and texture were done (smooth finish, so lots of steps) they came in and cleaned the frames by scraping the mud off and had several windows with minor scrapes and gouges in the wood.

They had to fix the damaged frames with wood putty and paint the entire frame so it matched. It was a bit of a headache and it all worked out, but it seems like an ounce of prevention would have saved a lot of work and frustration.

Agree. luckily we have steel frame windows so easier to clean up. Crew has been fantastic and professional so far.
