Anyone care to post what the five reasons are for those of us who don’t want to watch the whole video?
I don’t mind him. I think his take on cars, and valuing feel over numbers, is aligned with what I prefer in cars so I generally look forward to what he thinks about cars that I’ll probably never take for a spin. The idea that Ferrari has a greater “sense of occasion/theater” over porsche is one that I also agree with. Whether or not that comes at the expense or other things is a discussion for another thread.
I used to find this guy really annoying but for some reason, he has grown on me lately. He still says some wild and goofy stuff that is only seconded by his outfits, but I will defend him to my grave now
He's smart and offers a lot of good insight on the Ferrari ownership experience to his audience. He's a real enthusiast. Has had a lot of issues with cars but has stayed the course. I don't find Jay bad at all. Just watch a Doug Demuro or Schmee video and see how long you can take it.
Surprised by the negative comments. Jay is a member here and offers meaningful often eventful commentary that's anything but dry. I don't always fully agree with his assessments but can't argue his passion. The production/technical quality of his videos are also often great, especially given the size of his production. Most importantly he lets the cars shine front and center including their exhaust notes. Having watched many of the car youtube channels, his is by far one of the better ones.
Disagree. He shat all over the Huracan Evo during one of his reviews. Completely lost me after that. Ill take Doug DeMeuro any day over him.
I skipped that video as I’m more interested in older cars but funny you mention Doug… have the opposite impression of his ‘content’…barely useful commentary and almost no meaningful input on the driving dynamics. But hey did you know page 45 of the manual has a funny picture?!
I agree ... Doug is just worthless and awful.... and also agree that the Huracan EVO deserved to be shat on... he was right.
And with Christmas coming up, two icons... Tom Selleck and Ferrari. https://media.playmobil.com/v/playmobil/71343_video_01/mp4_720p&protocol=https
I love this guy. He is one of us, period. He loves the old Top Gear with Clarkson/Hammond/May and tries to channel that into his reviews. JayEmm is one of my favorite YouTubers.
I do like that he’s not obsessed with the numbers because you hear those repeated in many videos it’s like once you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all (lately).
1st, the manufacturer doesn't need to release an official video showing how to prounounce their name. 2nd: Porches are great but less total experience IMO. Ferrari gives me a bit more in driving experience from mechanics to road feel/care, & exterior/superficial expression & pronouncement. Five year Olds stop & point, NO joking. So, lastly not found everywhere. Oh, PPS: progeny appreciate you spending their inheritance.
I liked it. Thanks for posting The 5 things Jay feels Ferrari does better than Porsche, Sense of occasion Engines Styling Community Value
