PS: Do I care what folks in South Texas think about F1? Not exactly the home turf for Grand Prix racing isn't it?

 

That list is totally subjective, and has no credit. It's only its author's opinion, not Gospel.
He places drivers who only did a few races above others who did the whole season, for instance.

I'm 3 hours from COTA....close enough from an F1 track for me without living in a big city like San Antonio and Austin.

 

He's erratic like an EKG graph when it comes to points per season......up then down then up then down.

By that "logic" we have a whole bunch of losers on the grid: Perez, Russel, Piastri to name a few. Oh wait, they are called #2 drivers, aren't they?

And let's not forget all the "losers" in F1 who were paired with a WDC. Sheesh, why did they even bother to show up for a race?

So for the 2023 season Lance was outscored by his teammate by approx. 3:1(2.78). Will he narrow the gap in 2024, is this his year?

 

Why does Lance have to "narrow the gap" from last year to this year?

Lance is impervious to ANY F1 performance stat. Lance is an anomaly in F1. He's having fun just driving an F1 car....THAT'S IT!!! Lance and his father could care less what ANYONE says about Lance's performance stats. or what the stats say about his performance....even IF sponsorship pulls out of AMRF1....both Father and son don't care.

Trust me, I don't like it but it is what it is. I have accepted this farcical anomaly. Until then, this is a father-son team and nothing else really matters. IF the team goes down in flames like others in the past, so be it...it was the decision of the father to run it to the ground with son on-board....and both will be happy about it.

 

His year.......year? He has had years lol. Time to toss it in and go wax the yacht and find a life lol.

 

SO TRUE. The team is the full time 'coaching' and 'mentoring' support group for a wayward bored youngster. Its an insult to FA honestly. He deserves to be pushed harder so the team itself achieves more. Thats the not sonny and Pop plan of the 'Stroll' leadership. Its a joke now. Utterly.

Joke or not, the reality is that Lance Stroll is on the grid, that some like it or not.
I cannot see how him being mid-field is an insult to Alonso, or affect the Spaniard's performance.
Inevitably, one day Stroll will stop and depart F1, finally answering his detractors' prayers.
That time hasn't come yet, so I expect more teeth gnashing in 2024.

Lance Stroll, 2nd in Q1, and ahead of Alonso hasn't gone unnoticed by his discerning followers.

 

And what of Q3?

 

A model of consistency--consistently slower than his teammate.

 

I'll let you know that Stroll is capable of Pole, but not today.

 

Another year of plussing up the trust fund and enjoying fine dining and travel to 24 locations. Thanks Dad lol!

 

A characteristic he shares with a few drivers.
It's obvious that Stroll and Alonso aren't in the same league.

 

Give me one good reason why he should give that up.
