Would any of you trade a 458 and a F12 for a 296? thinking about putting up a poll

458, F8, F12 - yes. I traded an 812 for 296GTB and I also owned the cars you mentioned. There are really very few things that I miss from the 812 - the crispness of downshifts and the extra cabin/storage space.
296 is the best production Ferrari they've made in a long time.

To clarify - I would have to trade both my 458 and F12 for a 296.

I think @AMN figured the dealer wasn’t offering you a 1-1 trade on the 296 for either one of those cars.

Not that you care about my opinion, but that seems like a good trade. If you really miss one of the cars after taking the 296, you could always trade down for the car you miss and get cash back in the future. I suspect the 296 will make you quite happy though

polar opposite opinion-- I would never trade either of those cars for a 296-- and definitely not both. This is from someone who doesn't own any of them but has driven all the above etc... so my opinion doesn't have any bias that the car I have is the best etc etc.... Nevermind the incredible depreciation coming (and has already begun) for all EV's and hybrids... I think you should keep the V8 and V12 you have.-- or if you could trade from 458 to F8 and F12 to 812.... then that would be perfection (to me) But definitely not for 296

That's tough, but I don't think I would. I'd have trouble giving up those two all-time great engines, not to mention the variety your cars give you. They're both so good, and in such different ways.

No wrong answer here though. 296 is amazing, and there's something to be said about the novelty. It's fun getting new toys!

I’ve put more than 50k miles on various Ferraris and 3k on 296. 296 is my favorite. I hated the entire V6 hybrid concept when it was announced. Now I am an ambassador… low center of gravity with good handling, 220mph actual top speed, sub 10s 1/4 mile, sub 7min Nurburgring lap time, good exhaust tone and volume, decent storage vs SF90 and other exotics… 296 does all the tricks and can be driven daily!

ABSOLUTELY agree. Giving up an 812 for that seems hard to understand but not my choice.

I used to think that too but got up to 4 supercars and now thinking maybe life would be simplier with less cars. I always viewed the 458 and F12 as a pair and couldn't stand selling one and keeping the other so got the idea to trade them in for a single car of about the same value.

296 is the best car I have ever driven. And it's not close.

just playin... it does drive REALLY well! 100% on rails... but to me, it feels tiny and cute like a lotus or Miata, not like a supercar.

Never, are you kidding me ??? !!! I dont believe anyone when they say the 296 is the best car they have ever driven. Get the **** out of here....The Enzo, F40 / F50 blows that POS away every day of the week and twice on Sunday when it comes to the driving experience . Oh yeh, lets trade my 458 and my 12 cylinder Ferrari for a Ferrari that has an electric motor and a V6. Its a different time when it comes to folks driving Ferraris, I cant wait to see the videos of those electric Ferraris getting wrecked . Good grief Charlie Brown.

Basically where I’m at. I’ve tried and tried to like the front end but every time I see it it annoys me how soft and non aggressive they made it. I just picked up an F8 instead for that reason.

I know the 296 will blow the doors off it but my heart has to flutter every time I look at my Ferrari and unfortunately the 296 doesn’t do that for me.

Ye, aesthetically, it's just 'weak' for me too.... VERY soft and kinda cute like a toy. NOT what I see when I close my eyes and picture Ferrari.

Jeezz, both those NA cars for the 296? Nope. I could see you trade maybe one in, but both cars is a hard pill to swallow. Maybe because Ferrari calls the 296 "picolo v12" you could try moving the F12 for the 296 and keep the 458. I don't know, this is a tough one.

Well there's always this pending - would you keep the Evo then? I suspect the hysteria over 458s is going to calm down a bit as they get slower and less dynamic compared to the newest cars. Speciale/Aperta will stay high. I loved my 458 enough to pass on both the 488 and F8, but the 296 is on another level.

There's also the consideration that running and maintaining one brand new car is a lot less than two 5-10 year old cars.
