Depends who you get reviewing your listing. They rejected me on a 1 owner car that they list regularly, low miles and at no reserve. HOW?

Mine has been fully reviewed and approved for listing. The entire listing (pics, etc.) has been done for quite some time. So, it will be up on site.

That’s cool. I never saw that before. I gues doing a VIN # search is a great way to see if one of your cars have ever been on here before.

From what I can tell, it was mostly dealers bidding. So, they were basically offering trade-in figures.

$191k is not a trade in number. I can assure you trade in is less.

It may not be what the seller wanted, but it's the number today and likely the highest number seller will see on the car in the near term. This is the risk of owning an exotic with almost 30k miles on it. I would have taken the $191k and moved on. Silver (or any shade of it) for whatever reason is also a color that doesn't bring top $$$ on Ferrari's.

The other issue now is whoever buys it will google the VIN and see that BaT result. I would try to get a bidder to buy it off there, sell it, and move on. Other option is to hold until spring, but I don't think seller will see much more, and honestly, if he did, it won't be much more than if you took the $191k today and stuck it in a 6-month CD.

I have been offered 190K by four different Ferrari dealers over the past four weeks for this car (each not knowing what the other offered). So, yeah, I would consider this trade in value. I also believe that retail sale value should be higher than what a dealer offers on trade in. In August, a similarly optioned white 2013 458 Spider with more miles (29k) sold for $217,000 on BaT. Review of other on-line resources reflect my pricing to be accurate. I am comfortable with what my BaT reserve price was.

I sold a 29k mile black 458 with a 330 sticker this time last year for 195k. I think time of the year matters quite a bit as the aforementioned white 2013 that sold for 217 wasn't materially 20k better than mine, nor is it 20k better than this auction from what I can tell.

I will give this one last shot in selling on this FerrariChat. Would love to see a fellow F-Chat person get this car. Offering what my reserve on BaT was: $205,000.

Also just this week on BaT, a 2013 458 Spider with 8k miles just sold for $297k. It was cherry. I could spend another $6000 on mine to fix all sticky buttons and leather pull on dash and have it at same OEM level. But, man, if you have under 10k miles, that is a real price driver.

I saw that one sell as well and was somewhat surprised at the huge price delta between your auction and that one, certainly the mileage and color helped push that one over the top.

I think certain buyers have started paying up a premium for unique specs/colors instead of the normal red/white/silver/black/etc. When you live in SoCal or other places, do you really want to be another red 458? Those that answer no will pay up for a blue 458.

The sticky buttons are so bad. I was quoted $11k to sand everything down and refinish it. And re-laser and paint the word labels.

I just priced buying OEM replacements for my mild sticky button issue. I I think all in, it was about $4500.

Meh , you’re gonna love the 488. Don’t look back , I thoroughly enjoyed mine. Have the dealership unplug the valves. The sound is amazing. Best , Kirk.
