Anyone know where this car is now? Is anyone actually running that glorious 3L V12? I cannot imagine the sounds it makes, 24 spark plugs, 10,000rpm.....

I saw and actually sat in it in Las Vegas more than 20 years ago when it was at the Imperial Palace museum. Felt like I was sitting on top of the car rather than 'in'. This car had a terrible race history, I don't think it ever completed a race with it's V12. Cunningham put a Ford V8 in for a while and it might have finished a race or two.

For whatever reason I've always liked this and the Tipo 65, both odd undeveloped cars, but the last breath of Alfieri's racing machines.

It was part of the Classic Coach collection (group of owners serving their cars At Classic Coach Elizabeth NJ). The owner the late Oscar Davis family sold the car a few years ago to Europe.

Must have sold privately as I know it wasn't part of the auctions not too long ago? Hope the owner is running it! Can't find anything of literally ANY of the V12 supercages running anywhere sans poddering around car shows 10-12 years ago.

yes i know, however Tipo 65 was never part of the Classic Coach collection. It was part of the same collection as Tipo 151 #006 along with a lot of other great Maseratis
