    King Island DC3 Just flew over.

    When Ansett was being liquidated, a friend was the last Ansett person employed (CEO of the engineering area)

    The liquidators wanted to sell the last remaining DC3 that had been restored, it was like 200k, 4 or 5 of us thought of it, air shows, but the issues were storage, ongoing maintenance, and FUEL ! VH-ABR

    If only every day at work was like this.

    Had to drop one of our jets up to Alice so flew here on my own, packed it up and wandered over to the terminal where I’m now enjoying a Chivas Regal in the lounge before flying home business in 20 minutes or so.
